Is There Really More to Life Than Sleeping and Eating?
These are pictures of Emersyn when she first falls asleep - some of the positions look REALLY uncomfortable. Then we rearrange her and she sleeps peacefully from about 8:00 pm to 5:00 am with only one brief wake up around 3:30 am. No complaints with this schedule from Mom and Dad.
The second set of pictures is of Emersyn feeding herself. She pretty much always feeds herself now - unless she is eating something like yogurt. It can be a messy process, and she usually has to take the top layer of clothing off so we don't ruin it. Here she is eating rice, sweet potatoes, spinach and pork chops. She LOVES to eat. The only things we have found that she does not like are.... Gerber Mixed Vegetables, Pureed Brussel Sprouts and some kinds of Fish. The Fish was pretty much smeared all over her tray and then was pushed onto the floor with a windshield wiper like motion. Sometimes we really miss the dog!
Busy!
We had a photo shoot today, and I think we got some really good images. Emersyn is REALLY busy these days. I know now why folks have babies young!
She also discovered the stairs and can go all the way up by herself fast. She says Mamma and Dadda, too, although she gets us confused sometimes and calls Jeff Mamma. More pictures to come later. Hope you enjoy these.

Emersyn had a terrific Christmas! Above see Emersyn with Mommy, Santa's gifts to Emersyn and Emersyn with Daddy. Thank you to everyone who cares enough to continue to check this page even with the infrequent posts.
Now, a quick update. Emersyn has been really learning a lot lately. Her first word was "Car." She can point to the car and correctly identify what it is. Her second word was "Cat." Everything that is not a person and is alive is a cat. : ) You never knew that cats barked did you? Her third word is BaBa, which we are pretty sure means bottle. She only uses this word in the middle of the night when she really wants a bottle. It is pretty pathetic to hear her call out for a baba.
She can almost point to her nose, but usually misses and points to her mouth. We're proud, though, because she knows her nose is on her face.
She still is not walking - only crawling and walking with help from us. She can really take off if she only has a hold of one of our fingers. The funny thing is that when she gets your finger, she has you and you have to go where she wants. I think she is not walking yet because she bumped her head pretty bad a few times and is a little scared to chance it.
That's it for now. I promise to take more pictures to post soon.
