Dunk

So this is an atypical post for Emersyn's blog. Here are her two uncles playing water basketball. Can you tell from the pictures who won?

Zonked out from all the activity.

At the symphony, which lasted until 10:00 pm. She was exhausted.

We'll this has been another busy week that didn't start out too well. We walked into daycare last Monday morning and Emersyn threw up bananas all over the room. Needless to say, the teachers looked at us and very politely told us that Emersyn had to go home for the day. So, we changed clothes, helped clean the floor and headed to mommy's office. We stayed there to terrorize everyone for a few hours, then we went home, had lunch and took a short nap. No more throw up, but she did have high fever. On Tuesday, we headed to the doctor where Emersyn was diagnosed with an ear infection.

After that excitement, the week progressed pretty much as normal. She recovered quickly after getting started on antibiotics. This weekend was great. We went swimming twice, to the farmer's market and to the symphony. We learned that Emersyn dances the same way to classical music or hip hop and that she LOVES the water slide. I think she made Jeff go down the slide at Aunt Lauren and Uncle Kai's pool at least 25 times.

Also, I know I keep posting pictures of Emersyn sleeping, but I want you all to see how exhausted she is at the end of the day. We wear the poor little thing out every day!

Busy!

Emersyn has had a very busy two weeks. She started daycare. : ( She really doesn't like going, but I think after she spends more time there, she will grow to enjoy it. They really do some fun things. She also took her first airplane ride. In the picture of daddy holding her, we were waiting for the airplane. She was very good on the trip, but mommy and daddy learned a big lesson - apple juice makes little ones HYPER! On the trip, she got to meet lots of daddy's friends and family including aunt Laura, and Grandma Ann. She also went to Marble's kids museum this morning. The grocery store and the garden were her favorite activities.

For the Love of Vacation

We had a wonderful time on vacation to Hatteras Island, NC. These pictures tell the tale. We ate popsicles & ice cream, read the paper, played on the beach and just generally had a good time (that is except for when we were in the car. Sometimes the car is not all that fun) At first Emersyn was scared of the waves, but quickly warmed up to them as long as she was holding a hand or was being held. Often she would go out on the deck of the house and point toward the beach and say "ga, go." She would also say this when we were on the beach and wanted to be escorted into the water. (We spent quite a bit of time in the water jumping the waves, but most of those pictures are verticle so the don't really translate too well to the blogsite.)

In other news, the beach is a really great place to grow teeth . Emersyn has two new molars and at least three other teeth on the way in. And, tomorrow is Emersyn's first day of day care. Wish her luck!
