NOT the Spa

Bubble baths are not all fun and games. Eme was interested in the bubbles when she was out of the tub, mildly entertained while she was in the tub and then decided they were WAY more fun when she was out of the tub. So, we got out of the tub and played with the bubbles by bending over the side of the tub. In other news, we made our first blanket fort today. That was fun. It is still up and currently has lots of baby dolls in it.

Glamour Girl Camo

Every morning Emersyn watches me putting on make up. She laughs and laughs every day. Well, tonight it was really quiet after dinner. When I went to check why it was so quiet, this is what I found. I guess we all knew it was bound to happen sooner or later. Oh, she also has her first split lip. She fell down today and has a good cut on her upper lip. Maybe she was just trying to camouflage her injury with lipstick??

Slides, Hugs, Smiles

Hugging Daddy
Trying to find a way to escape from crazy Mommy and Daddy.
Weee. Eme loves slides. She doesn't care for the swing, but if you let her stay at the playground all day and go down the slide I think she would.

The weather is getting cooler so we had to break out the long pants and sweaters. Keeping Eme's clothes organized is a challenge all in itself. She is growing so fast, we never know what size to buy. It is either too big now or too small in a couple of weeks.

We pretty much hung around the house all weekend and took Eme to the playground. She loves the slide!

Her vocabulary continues to improve. She is really speaking in complete sentences now - saying things like "I want Mommy" and "I want to eat." It's pretty amazing.

The other big news is she had her 18 month check up on Tuesday. She is getting much taller and thinner. She is in the 50 percentile for weight and 70th for height.
Otherwise, things are pretty quiet around here.

Bubby

Love my Just Jonas.
Looking out the window of Emersyn's playhouse. Jonas folded up and squeezed in.

Jonas came over to visit this afternoon. He got to play follow the leader, read the same book at least 10 times and fold his 6 foot 5 frame into Emersyn's playhouse several times. She was very upset when Jonas had to leave. I took many photos, but did not have much success with the quality of the pictures. First, the camera was fogged up. Then, I only got one picture where both Emersyn and Jonas were looking at the camera. I guess that's what happens when you are trying to take pictures of a squirming 18 month old and her 36 year old uncle.

Also, Emersyn can't quite say the "J" sound yet. So it looks like Jonas might end up being bubby, which also sounds quite a bit like the way Emersyn says Barbie. : )

Beach Bum

Cute. What more can you say?
Rinsing off with daddy. It took a few days for her to be comfortable in the shower.
Relaxing reading a book, sucking on a paci, sitting in a cooler. What more could you ask for?
Yum. We celebrated daddy's 35th birthday with ice cream sundaes.
Oooooo..... Ice cream headaches really hurt!
Go Beach!
Bathing beauty. She was always very intent on wearing her hat, suit and shoes to the beach. The shoes came off when she got to the beach.

We had a really nice time at the beach last week. The weather was absolutely beautiful without a cloud in the sky unitl tropical storm Hanna came through on Friday. We decided to leave a day early. Eme's vocabulary has exploded. She can say just about everything we say. Yes, everything. So we are all having to watch our mouths. I am trying to decide what to dress her up as for Halloween. The choices are.. an alarm clock, a hurricane or a parrot.

She is really a joy to be around.
