Bubby's Pumpkin Party and Day at the Fair

Eme talkin to the chickens in her favorite farm exhibit at the fair.

Eme's halloween costume at Jonas' party. She was an alarm clock if you couldn't tell.
Eme and mommy at the fair in front of the giant pumpkins.

Eme with Nana and Gramps.

This weekend we basically celebrated fall. Nana and Gramps came over to play. We visited Jonas' land where we carved a pumpkin and had fun around the fire. Eme dressed up like an alarm clock. Her costume was kind of cheap, but we didn't figure she would leave anything too complex on for very long. She wore the clock for the entire party.

We also visited the fair. That was fun. We saw lots of animals and people and rides. We smelled smells and heard different things. But, of course Eme still pointed out every airplane, rock, and other normal things even though there was a lot going on around her. Her very favorite thing at the fair was the farm exhibit where she got to pick vegetables, sell them to the farm stand and they buy things at the store. That was a very neat exhibit, we went through twice.
In other news, Eme keeps coming home from church day care with smiley faces drawn all over her. Last night I asked her who did that and pointed to the smiley face. She very clearly said "Maureen do it." Ms. Maureen is one of Eme's teacher and I think she really likes her.

Just a Few Pictures

All Eme wanted to eat for dinner last night was oranges. So here are two pictures of her lounging eating oranges on the counter.

Also included in this group of pictures is a shot of Eme looking out the window of the car. She had recently woken up from nap and was pretty quiet. The mark on her cheek came from a rocking chair that jumped up and attacked her this morning when she was trying to get a book off of the bookcase. Bad chair.

Stirring the Pot

Eme has had a busy two weeks. She got tubes last Friday. She handled the procedure very well. We are hoping that this will help keep Eme from getting so many ear infections.

Here are few pictures I took this morning of Eme stirring the beans. She spent about 30 minutes stirring the dried beans soaking in water.

As I type she is sliding on her back down the treadmill with a papi in her mouth. Having a papi out of the bed is a luxury and she is always very proud when she manages to pull a blanket in her crib just enough to make a papi fall out.

Let's Go Wolfpack

Oh, I hope they win! (They didn't, but they did play pretty well)
Eme made a point to cheer everytime the crowd did.
Eme trying to make the wolfpack sign with her fingers.
Passed out with an NC State flag after the game. She would not let the flag be outside the car.
Talking to Barbie and drinking hot coffee.

Eme went to her first football game this past weekend. She loved all of the activity. She almost fell off of the bleacher trying to see the other team's mascot.

She also went to her first wedding. We were a little afraid that about 20 people were going to sneak out the door with her. She was all dressed up and was so cute.

The last picture is of Eme sitting on her favorite step, drinking pretend "hot" coffee out of a winnie the pooh mug and talking to barbie on the phone. I swear she imitates EVERYTHING we do!

Waving to Nana

Here's Eme and Eme and Daddy waving hi to the silly e-card nana sent where a gopher (I think) crawled out of a hole and started waving hi while salsa music was playing. Hi, Nana! : ) Have fun at Myrtle Beach this weekend, Nana and Gramps!

What came first the chicken or the egg salad?

So, what do you think? The chicken or the egg salad?
Who really cares? Egg salad tastes better than chicken.
So you say this is the first photo shoot you've ever seen of someone enjoying an egg salad sandwich? Where do you live in a shell?
Speed demon Eme even though she can't really reach the pedals.

I'll bet it wasn't egg salad! Well Eme looovvveeeessss egg salad. In fact, she ate an egg salad sandwich just as the egg salad was made last night. Ate an egg salad sandwich for lunch at school and then asked for eggs and toast for dinner. She didn't get her wish for dinner. There's got to be something wrong with eating eggs at three meals in less than 24 hours.

She also got a bike this past weekend. She is a little to small for it, but it is a very nice bike and she immediately starts talking about riding bikes when we pull into the garage each night.
