Well it used to look like a cake

Today is Emersyn's first birthday. She has had a terrific day so far. She ate oatmeal and banana this morning like any other day. Then, mommy and daddy started cooking and decorating and running around. Emersyn got all dressed up in a pretty pink dress. We ate hamburgers and hot dogs with pasta salad and sweet potato fries. Then we squashed a chocolate cake with chocolate icing. Thank goodness it was pretty so we could make a mess outside on the deck!

Blustery Day

It's really windy here today, but we played outside anyway. We picked up sticks, batted at some flowers, took a few pictures and chased the bit around.

Who knew a step could be so much fun?

So it's not all work in the Monackey household. Here's Emersyn laughing it up on her very favorite step. She sits on this step every night and lounges, bounces up and down, spins around, slides off, chews on the corner guards and generally has an all out good time on her step.
