This is our new pet chicken Challenge.  She's a dark brahma, who has yet to lay an egg but she is very sweet.  Her compadres all turned out to be boys and had to take a ride back to the farm.  We now have 5 new baby chickens - hopefully more than one will be girls!

Glamour Shots

These pictures were taken on the ferry to Ocracoke and on the day we evacuated Avon due to hurricane Earl.  We had four beautiful days on the beach, but had to head home on Wednesday.  Boo.

Screamin' Summer

I think all of these images scream summer.  Here you can see Eme picking peaches off of our peach tree.  We actually got quite a few this summer - in spite of the squirrels.  And, with those peaches we had an impromptu peach ice cream party where we have about 30 folks over to celebrate with us.  It was fun. 

You can also see in these pictures that our garden is growing great - see the great huge zucchini.

Taty also was convinced by Eme to run out in the rain.  And, Eme got to ride on the jet ski with Daddy.
